Veterans Overnight Care

Overnight Care

Veterans with a Gold Repatriation Health Card are eligible for Veterans overnight care where such care is needed to allow the Veteran to live safely at home. Before Veterans overnight care can commence, a clinical assessment will need to be done by a Regal Registered Nurse. The Nurse will determine the type of care required and work with the Veteran or their authorised representative to develop a care plan that caters for the Veteran’s needs.

Veterans overnight care undertaken by our experienced carers.
There are two types of Veterans overnight care:

Inactive care:

This is where the carer is able to sleep and will wake and provide assistance when needed. A bed in a spare room is required for the carer.

The carer will be awake for the duration of the visit.
The duration of Veterans overnight care is for a maximum of 12 hours.
