Regal has been a leading and trusted community nursing provider in Sydney since 1966, providing Registered Nursing services to Greater Metropolitan Sydney for over 56 years.
What makes Regal different from other NDIS nursing providers is that Regal was established in 1966 by Patricia R Shepherd, a Registered Nurse, and quickly built a reputation for clinical excellence. Anna M Shepherd, Patricia’s daughter, has continued Patricia’s legacy and has developed a governance framework that underpins all Regal’s clinical, personal and domestic services. Regal Nurses involved in care mean Regal is confident we can provide services to participants with complex support requirements.
The NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme. The NDIS is a scheme of the Australian Government that funds cost associated with disability. The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.
The NDIS also connects anyone with disability to services in their community such as NDIS nursing providers). This includes connections to doctors, community groups, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as providing information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.
The NDIS now supports over 500,000 Australians with disability to access the services and supports they need. For more information visit the NDIS website.

NDIS nursing services are classified as Community Nursing Services by the NDIS and funded in an NDIS plan under two categories:
NDIS encourages participants to utilise their Capacity Building budget for their NDIS community nursing services and only use their flexible Core budget when their Capacity Building budget is exhausted or set aside for other therapies.
The NDIS will pay for any nursing services which are deemed reasonable and necessary by the person developing your NDIS plan based on the evidence presented at your NDIS plan review and your NDIS plan goals.
Regal can provide evidence of necessity of community nursing services for your NDIS Plan review by providing you with a copy of your Nursing Assessment.
