Social isolation and loneliness among older Australians
Adj Prof John G Kelly, ACSA CEO | The ageing of Australia’s population is a testament to the success of good public health and social policy over a number of decades. The ageing of the population raises a series of challenges that must be acknowledged and addressed. One such challenge is understanding and combating social isolation and loneliness among older people. As Australians live longer, it is important to ensure they are given every opportunity to enjoy quality of life, as well as quantity of life.
